A Stunning Provence red

This ruby rich delight is an absolute force to be reckoned with. Distinguished, powerful and bold. This velvety and supple wine is one to be savoured...all night long. All those lovely dark chocolate, blackcurrant, spice and jam flavours would be a match made in heaven with a selection of southern French fromages. I shall pass on the port thanks, and stick with a bottle of this. It’s also great with a sausage cassoulet, FYI.

Appearance

Deep red with garnet reflections.

Nose

Blackcurrant and spicy notes (pepper, liquorice) on the nose with a hint of mint.

Palate

Supple and round with persistent fruity aromas. A fruity finish and touch of liquorice coming through.

Food pairing

Ideal as an aperitif or as the partner to southern French cuisine (olives, tomatoes, garlic). Terres de Berne will pleasantly surprise you as a match for Asian flavours. This also pairs well with a sausage cassoulet, or of course, a cheese platter.

Serving advice

Ideal tasting temperature around 16° to 18°C.
Be sure to decant your red wine a few hours before serving.
